Meet our teaching artists
Angie Samblotte
Angie Samblotte is an Illustrator from Long Beach, CA. From an early age, she knew she was born to be an artist. Drawing has always been a way for Angie to tap into her imagination and creative flow, allowing her to experience the world around her in a whimsical and surreal way.
In 2015, Angie graduated from CSULB with a BFA in Illustration. She has exhibited in galleries and collaborated with music artists throughout Los Angeles. She is passionate about sharing her artistic knowledge to students, in hopes that they can also explore their own voice and self expression through the power of creativity.
Angie also enjoys watercoloring, surfing and traveling. She is always experimenting and creating something new.
Emiliano Lopez
Emiliano Lopez has taught art to youth both nationally and internationally. His first experience as an art instructor was in 2014 with an organization out of the city of Santa Ana, known as Young Champions of America.
Soon after Emiliano moved to Quito, the high capital city of Ecuador, for several years where he taught various art techniques to children and teens between the ages of 5 – 17.
He specializes in teaching art with the use of the Spanish and English language through instruction in various visual art techniques, such as sketching, painting, drawing and crafts.
Ellie Cota
Ellie Cota is a Los Angeles based Illustrator with a multidisciplinary skill set. Her work revolves around childhood experiences and nostalgia. Since she had no art education or resources growing up, Ellie is currently working on releasing her inner child that never got to create. She’s also passionate about giving others access to art education in all forms.
Ren Torres
Ren Torres is a digital artist and tech geek from La Puente, California. He graduated from California State Long Beach with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration in 2020. He loves painting, playing video games, and has been spending his days learning to code.
