Make Art After School!
Stay Creative! is a 12-week after-school art program that introduces students to the world of visual art with guidance from professional teaching artists. This program is currently available at all 13 elementary schools at Downey Unified School District, in partnership with DFEO. Classes take place onsite on early-off days, right after regular school hours.
Young artists will explore the elements of art through a variety of engaging mediums, such as drawing, painting, collage, and printmaking. Throughout the program, students will create a personal art portfolio and develop skills such as imaginative thinking, experimentation, fine motor skills, and visual literacy.
