Self Love Zine with Elizabeth

Create a personalized, mini zine on the topic of self love! Each page will be dedicated to a different form of self love and will be created with a variety of mixed media materials, such as colored construction paper, magazine cuttings and drawing tools. Use your own supplies from home or add an optional art kit.


Workshop Details

Sign up includes

  • 1.5 hour guided workshop with our teaching artist, Elizabeth Uribe

  • Confirmation email with Zoom invitation link

What you'll need from home

  • Smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop to access Zoom

  • White printer paper

  • Colored construction paper

  • Magazine or newspaper cuttings

  • Colored pencils, markers or crayons

  • Pen or pencil

  • Glue stick

  • Scissors

  • Stapler

Optional art kit

Don’t have these supplies at home? Add an optional art kit for $5 when you sign up. Art kits will be available for pick up at Stay Gallery Monday, April 5 from 12 – 4pm. Art kit for this workshop includes:

  • White printer paper

  • Colored construction paper

  • Recycled cuttings

  • One (1) marker set

  • One (1) glue stick

  • One (1) pair of scissors

  • One (1) mini stapler

Elizabeth Uribe

Elizabeth Uribe is a first generation Latina, born and raised in South East Los Angeles. She obtained a double Bachelors degree in Theater and Communications from UC San Diego and has learned to bridge her activism and creative work to empower her community.

She has taught and facilitated various creative and culture workshops for a wide range of folks, such as Brujeria & Abuelita Knowledge: Health & Beauty, sugar skull decorating, making clay pins and tissue paper cempasuchil flowers. She enjoys creating arts and culture programming and curating experiences that emphasize social justice and equity spaces.
