Johana Munoz

Johana Munoz has been teaching art for two years. She loves creating art with different mediums such as ink, graphite and watercolors – but her go-to is acrylic and oil paint. Creating art with students and watching them express their emotions through their work inspires her to continue to in this field.

Johana is interested in finding ways to coexist with other people from different backgrounds, races and ideologies. She is appreciative of the way that art tells stories throughout different forms, educates on stigmatized topics and provokes social change. She translates this into her personal work to awaken hidden feelings and evoke change.

Erick Rodriguez

Erick is a bilingual youth mentor, guide, art instructor and native Angeleno committed to supporting young people within and beyond the classroom setting. Erick attended California State University Dominguez Hills, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, emphasizing social inequalities and helping professions.

Being artistically inclined, Erick is always excited to share his passion for art with his students and does so primarily through painting. Erick has garnered years of experience teaching guided painting workshops to students ages 5–18, where they are taught painting techniques and best practices while being encouraged to pursue their individual creativity.

When he is not planning art projects or scrubbing paint off his hands, Erick can be found in the wilderness hiking and earning his steps.
