Explore and express yourself through this Picasso inspired collage portrait! What colors do you feel like? What shapes are you drawn to? In this workshop, we will intuitively collage a symbolic, abstract version of ourselves by cutting and composing colorful and expressive forms together. Use your own supplies from home or add an optional art kit.

Don’t have these supplies at home? Add an optional art kit for $5 upon sign up. Art kits will be available for pick up at Stay Gallery on Wednesday, April 7 from 12 - 3pm. Art kit for this workshop includes:

Meet our teaching artist
Angie Samblotte
Angie Samblotte is an Illustrator from Long Beach, CA. From an early age, she knew she was born to be an artist. Drawing has always been a way for Angie to tap into her imagination and creative flow, allowing her to experience the world around her in a whimsical and surreal way.
In 2015, Angie graduated from CSULB with a BFA in Illustration. She has exhibited in galleries and collaborated with music artists throughout Los Angeles. She is passionate about sharing her artistic knowledge to students, in hopes that they can also explore their own voice and self expression through the power of creativity.
Angie also enjoys watercoloring, surfing and traveling. She is always experimenting and creating something new.
