Opening Reception: The Resilience Archive

Join us for the opening reception of The Resilience Archive, a group exhibition co-curated by multi-disciplinary artist Yeu Q Nguyen.

This exhibition will feature Yeu’s interactive public art tapestry, Weaving Hope, and a selection of her never-before-seen works, with accompanying works by local artists Carmel Katumba, Cindy “cindita” Macias, Ellie Cota, Jazzmine "Rhyeseyes" Caron, Karina Vazquez, Rocío Villalobos and Tamara Ramos.

Donations

This event is free – however, please consider making a donation-based RSVP.

Every dollar supports our nonprofit's community programming, which provides an accessible platform for local artists to share their work and keeps admission to our space free for the community.

COVID-19 guidelines

Safety guidelines

Face masks are required inside the gallery, unless you are enjoying a refreshment. Social distancing is highly encouraged between separate groups.

Vaccination

Attendees are recommended to be fully vaccinated or to obtain a negative COVID-19 test before arriving at the event.

Increased sanitation

Hand sanitizer stations will be available in the gallery and high-touch surfaces will be disinfected throughout the event.

Notice to attendees

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. Please stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

FAQ

Is there parking available?

Free street parking is available on Downey Avenue or in the parking lot behind Embassy Suites & Wells Fargo. We do not have our own parking lot.

Are children allowed to attend?

Absolutely! Children are more than welcome, but must be attended by a parent or guardian at all times.

Will there be drinks at the reception?

Yes, we will have drinks available for purchase – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We will also have canned water for purchase.

Will there be food at the reception?

No, we will not be providing food at the reception. We kindly ask that you do not bring your own food or food from another location to the event.
