Now open to all ages! Families welcome, too!
Experience the peaceful art of creating mandalas through vibrant colors and shapes! We’ll start class with a short sequence of yoga Sun Salutations (no experience required) to give thanks and connect us to the sun – a symbol similar to the mandala. We will learn about mandalas all over the world and work with various drawing and painting techniques to create beautiful, symmetrical works of art! Use your own supplies from home or add an optional art kit.

Meet our teaching artist
Paula Celzo
Paula Celzo is an artist and yoga practitioner based in Honolulu, Hawaii. She chooses to express herself through her art; mostly paintings that are inspired from the elements of nature, sounds and the traditions of yoga. Art has always been a part of her life and has become a tool to help her continuously expand her perspective.
In 2012 she completed a bachelors degree in Multimedia Arts. In 2014 she focused on traditional art, which inspired her to showcase her artwork in galleries. In 2015 she started volunteering to teach art to kids. In 2018 she ventured to Rishikul in Rishikesh, India and became certified as a yoga teacher. Shortly after she became a yoga instructor in Open Space Yoga Honolulu, Hawaii.
Through volunteering, she discovered her way to share her love for art and yoga, particularly through teaching youth. Along with teaching art, she combined it with teaching yoga. She believes these two things complement each other and create a unique space that promotes self discovery and expression. Her intention for teaching art and yoga is to help people pause to connect back to their inner true nature amidst our fast paced technology-based modern life.
Paula’s art is colorful, playful and vibrant. Paula hopes that through her works, people can remember that through happiness and sadness, chaos and serenity, something permanently exists within us and it is our inner blissful state, in sanskrit we call it Ananda.
