Meet your teaching artist
Israel Lopez
(he/him/his)
Israel Lopez is an artist and art instructor born and raised in Echo Park, Los Angeles, California, and currently residing in the SELA city of Cudahy.
With almost a decade of teaching experience, Israel has instructed art students of various ages ranging from young children to senior citizens. Specializing in teaching the subjects of drawing, watercolor, and acrylic paint, he emphasizes on the core values of these subjects in order to provide students with a solid foundation to explore their creativity. He believes that anyone can learn to make great art, and he is passionate about providing art education.
Israel currently teaches non credit art courses for Los Angeles City College, East Los Angeles City College, and coordinates an after school program for Downey Foundation for Educational Opportunities (DFEO) in partnership with Downey Unified School District.
COVID-19 guidelines
Face masks required for all participants.
Proof of vaccination or negative test required for admission. All participants age 18+ must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination(s) or a negative test result within 72 hours prior to the workshop. Upon arrival, please be ready to show a valid photo ID and:
your paper vaccination card, digital vaccination record, or a photograph of your vaccination card (both sides), or
electronic or printed documentation of your negative result, the name of the entity that issued the result, your full name, and the date of the test. Test results must be issued by a laboratory, healthcare or test provider. At home tests will not be accepted.

We understand that everyone has different financial needs. Please choose a price range that works best for you and your family:

Pay It Forward helps provide another family with the opportunity to participate at a discounted rate.
Purchase examples:
Two (2) people = one regular ticket (discounted, standard, or pay it forward)
Three (3) people = one ticket + admission for one (add-on)
Four (4) people = two regular tickets
Five (5) people = two regular tickets + admission for one (add-on)
Refunds or cancellations
Full refunds will be given to cancellations with at least 24 hours notice. Refunds will not be issued to same day cancellations or no shows.
Stay Gallery reserves the right to cancel workshops with low sign ups or for unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified at least 24 hours prior and full refunds will be processed.
