Grant Award: EAI COVID-19 Relief Fund

This year, we were honored with a grant award of $2,500 from LA Plaza & Eastside Arts Initiative for the continuation of our virtual art workshops this Spring (2021). We joined two other arts organizations and 43 individual artists as recipients of the COVID-19 Relief Fund, totaling $75,000. Read the full press release.

LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes Eastside Arts Initiative was established in 2015 to help support local artists and arts organizations and a wide range of artistic endeavors in Eastern LA County. Opened in 2011, LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes is a Los Angeles County museum and Smithsonian Institute affiliate that honors the past, inspires the future and recognizes the enduring cultural influences of Mexicans, Mexican Americans and all Latinas/Latinos through exhibitions, programming and educational experiences.

Stay Arts

Stay Arts (formerly Downey Art Vibe) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging, connecting and empowering communities in the City of Downey and Southeast Los Angeles through the arts, creative exploration and cultural expression. Our mission is to provide access, visibility and resources in the arts for local artists, youth and families through community-led programming and creative experiences. For over a decade, we have operated our programs from Stay Gallery, a community art gallery and creative space located in Downtown Downey.
